C'mon fellas (and gals),
It really is good fun meeting newcomers to the wonderful
world of wood.
You don't need to be a computer wizard - just your regular
efforts on the Forum site is enough to introduce people to it.
Meeting up with known woodies from your club, fellow
Forumites, and total newcomers ensures you have an
enjoyable stint.
Don't leave it all to Greg.
P.S. Since volunteering to do a stint on Friday I have won
a free ticket - therefore I will be in touch Greg - might
attend again on the Sunday and do another stretch.
AllanLife is short ... smile while you still have teeth.

... and being part of the stand, you feel like you're one of the IN crowd. Not one of the riffraff who are only there to buy stuff.

Here is a link to the current schedule, if you are able to help out for an hour or so it would be appreciated. Saturday and Sunday are a bit sparse at present.

Sorry Groggy! I might be better on Sunday. Friday is getting to crowded. Might be of more use to you then anyway. Put me anytime. Not too early.

Greg, dont know when i am going to the show but i am going to be there at some stage.
I will help when there and hopefully i can give you a definite time before next weekend.
Come on the rest of you, this forum is resembling the rest of the way our great country is going --
ALL TAKERS AND VERY FEW GIVERS
Get off your ar?? and volunteer to help the forum, dont sit back and then whinge and whine when Neil doesnt bother with these things next time.
Same thing goes for the prise draws and the free tickets, dont be surpsed when they all stop - its your own fault.

Coming from WA
As I'm coming to Melbourne & then on to Tassie I reckon I can at least put my hand up for some time at the stand so Greg if ya need me to fill any more slots over those two days for an hr or so just say so.
Been a part of these forums for a little while now and I've got an opportunity to put something back in that may help others.
GREG(aka Groggy) needs a lot more folk to help out so those of you who can spare an hr and at the same time do yourselves a favour, by getting into the show without having to pay then by all means put your hand up.
WOULD love to meetcha.
CheersJohnno

Greg,
I can help out on Saturday between 11.00am and 12.00noon as I feel well enough by then and the freebie ticket that I got from Neill (greatly appreciated Neill) will go to my daughter who will be my driver to the show.
So come on everyone, if I feel able to spend some time there helping out then I think the able bodied members ought to be able to help out too.
John, I've read your posts for many years so I look forward to meeting you.
Peter.

You're a good bloke Peter I am happy to flex around that time however you need. You are now booked in 1100-1200, I look forward to catching up with you.
Like you, I am looking forward to meeting the old and bolds plus the new faces. It never fails to be an interesting and informative mix.

Shift at the wood show.
Thanks Smithy
At this stage I have put you down for Saturday from 1400-1600 (2-4pm). Let me know if you would prefer Sunday morning or if you would prefer an hour either day, I still have room to maneuver with timings - see the schedule if you have a preferred time.
