Woodwork Forums Stand at Melb T&WWW SHOW
The Melbourne Timber & Working With Wood Show has again this year presented us an opportunity to have a stand to showcase the Woodwork Forums.
Our stand will be attached to the Forum Members Lounge where there will be seating, coffee, tea, cool water, etc available to members as well as a central meeting point and somewhere to relax a bit before getting back into the fray. The stand will be outside the lounge and is where we will be presenting the forums to the public during the three show days.
I will not be involved with the stand as I will be busy with our U-Beaut Polishes stand.
Groggy has volunteered to manage the stand, but will need a fair amount of assistance over the three days. With this in mind we are calling for volunteers to help Greg man the stand throughout the weekend.
If you would like to help out, and think you would be able to talk to people about what the forums have to offer, maybe demonstrate or help them to browse the forums online, then please let us know.
We are thinking about 2 hour stints but any time you can spare would be most appreciated. The show opens on Friday morning at 10:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm. Same hours for Saturday and Sunday we will need volunteers for each of the 3 days.
If you can indicate when you would be available we will build a schedule from those details.
Of course, anyone who is prepared to help out will also be eligible for FREE admission to the show as an exhibitor.
We will have computers on line so people can search the forums etc, but mostly it will be a talk fest with info handouts and a Power Point presentation running continuously.
If you can help please indicate preference for times and day(s) below in THIS THREAD. You will be contacted to confirm and asked to provide mobile or other phone contact info.
Cheers - Neil
PS The stand and Members Lounge provide a central meeting point for members and a chance to put some faces to the names you see so often on here.

I will put up a page on the web either tonight or tomorrow with the time slots available. People who help out also get a secure place to leave their packages of goodies whilst they go and get some more (depending on space available).
[crosses fingers] I won't play with them, promise [uncrosses fingers]

Sorry guys, can't help this year.
For those of you considering helping, it's great fun and doesn't take that much effort. You get to meet a heap of forumites and talk to other people and convince them to joinNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

That's a good start folks, thanks for volunteering! We need a lot more though.
If we get enough we can drop it down to an hour each which is really nothing more than a sit and a chat before going around the stands again.
It's easy work and a free ticket, roll up, roll up!
LINK TO THE SCHEDULE IS HERE.
I'll try to keep it as up to date as possible, at least daily. Put your times here or PM me and Ill do my best to get you the spot you want.

I'll put my hand up for Friday, anytime up until 3:00 - after that I have to turn into a pumpkin and attend to Fatherly duties.
