1920's English Oak Furniture
G'day guys
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't sure where to post something like this.
I was given a 5 piece dining suite, a lounge suite (3 seater + 2 chairs) and a dresser from my grandmother. They were made in about the 1920's and brought to Australia later. The Dresser and Dining Suite are both English Oak.
If there's anyone here who has some idea about antiques like this could you please post here or PM me? I'm thinking about selling them, but perhaps keeping them if their value is likely to increase within a decade?
Here's some pics:

As Al says - this type of furniture was the 1920's version of IKEA in Europe. Better made? perhaps a bit...
Sorry!

There is a heap of really bad antiques out there, just because it has some age, doesnt make it any better.
They were making bad copies/antiques back in ancient Egypt.

Hmm i see, there is somone coming in a few hours to look at this with $1500 in mind to buy the lot, that's about what we had it valued at a few months ago.
I was thinking that because it's english oak it would have been good quality stuff? Ah well!
Thanks very much for your help, it's well appreciated
