Been able to combine my two loves
I have been making slow cooked lamb with tortellini for tonight's dinner, I hit a snag when I found that my parmesan shaver broke so not to be defeated I wound the frog back on my Stanley No 5 and what do you know perfect shaved parmesan . I am staggered at the uses I can find for a plane!
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I´m not so sure about the universe.

That new Joint Maker Pro from Bridge City Tools would do a pretty thin shaving of parmesan...
I wonder if i could get that past the Finance Minister
Cheers,

Microplane rasps work better, unless you actually NEED ribbons of Parmesan for display. Remember, Lee Valley - More specifically Mrs Lee Snr., are indirectly responsible for all those stainless steel graters from Microplane, Cuisinpro etc. And they don't get any credit from the makers.
