Bit of a funny story about how I acquired some nice knives
So my wife has a work collegue that rented out her stables as a converted studio to a couple hippie girls. In the end it wasn't working out so she didn't renew the lease and sent them on their way.
Turns out these gals were into the occult and tried to leave a curse on her... They broke into the studio and left two black handled knives in a particular pattern. I looked it all up and sure enough it's a ritualistic curse type thingy witches and warlocks do... Here's the funny part. Instead of using some cheap throw away knives they used very expensive Damascus steel knives. My wife showed me a pic of them and I was going: holy s%^& batman! They're damascus steel knives. They ain't ferkin cheap!!! Does your friend know this??? So there was a bit of back n forth between wife and friend. In the end the friend didn't want them, so I got them for a stupid low price. Those idiot hippies threw away $250 worth of knives on their superstitions. I suspect they probably stole them and had no idea...
So they're demascus steel with what I suspect is carbon fibre handle inserts with solid brass rivets and ends, handmade by a company called Jegger.
So I'll spend a couple mins cleaning the rust off and not sure what I'll do after that. Maybe try n find a hippie/witch that needs some knives for a curse.
