Default Convert manual machine into electric machine

My mother likes to make her own tomato sauce where she cuts tomatoes into quarters and runs them through a hand grinding machine. Her arthritis is getting worse and she will not be able to use the machine for very long. There are electric machines available but they start from $500 upwards. We could not justify buying a machine for the amount of sauce she would use. The hand machine is a simple machine with not many parts to it, I have some electric motors lying around and would like to know whether anyone has any information/experience converting a manual machine into an electric machine?

Might be a crazy idea but could you take the handle off & drive it with a drill?

Thanks, guys, I'll have a look at the sausage machines.

Scooter, tried the drill, spun a little too fast, but a creative idea.
