Five minute Chocolate Mug Cake
Five minute Chocolate Mug Cake - perfect for this time of year.
You'll need:
4 tablespoons of flour
4 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons of milk
3 tablespoons of oil
3 tablespoons of chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (micro-safe)
Preparation:
Add the dry ingredients to the mug, and mix well.
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well..
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Zapping:
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for three minutes (1000 watt oven).
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and then tip the cake out onto a plate if desired.
Eat it! (This can serve two if you wish to feel slightly more virtuous)..
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.
Regards, Woodwould.

I was thinking that I should do a WIP but then again it would not have been a 5 minute mug cake.
I tried this last night with the lads that got together to play poker. No not real poker die hards, only a $10.00 pot.
We left it a little too long and as with anything bready type it tends to go a little hard if left for some time to stand. Had to microware it again, but only for 15 seconds.
I thought that I should make it again and this time take pictures.
Here is the first picture of the final mix in the mug.
The second picture of the cake from the microware
The final is what happened to the cake after I use a spoon.

My kids have been at this one as well, I think it must have been on TV or something. The youngest adds a couple of chocky bits near the end of the cooking to make an icing.
