Bug???
I was slicing some Dead Finish logs today and this thing was inside one in a rot pocket, untouched by the bandsaw. The macro lens was still on the camera so I waited until he stopped on the bark and rattled off about 20 freehand shots, this being about the best of them (reduced for posting of course).
The body is about 30mm long, about 70mm overall when he's stationary like this. He's now under the lathe in the shavings somewhere
Anyone have any idea what it is???

Looks like an overgrown earwig. Must be the dead finish he's been eating.

Sounds like a friend to me "House centipedes feed on spiders, bed bugs, termites, cockroaches, silverfish, ants, and other household arthropods."
