Which to buy help
I'm thinking of upgrading my camera to the Lumix DMC FZ150 or the Lumix DMC FZ 47/48. After looking at the specks I don't really see much real difference in thse two camers except price. I also can't see much difference in the reviews of these two so which is the better and why because if there is no real reason to have one over the other then price wins out.

I had a look and can't for the life of me see the difference between the two. Maybe it eludes me. I'm a nikon guy and probably a bit biased in my view, however, for the price point, with Leica optics either might be are to beat. I think I would be visiting a knowledgeable dealer and find out what he difference is and make a decision from there.

Here is a detailed comparison of the two cameras you are interested in.
Key Differences are:
Slightly different sensor sizes
Different sensor types CMOS Vs. CCD
F170 shoots RAW the other does not. RAW is a definite advantage.
There are other differences, I'll list them later if you want me to.To grow old is inevitable.... To grow up is optional

GJ is right, there are quite a few differences in the specs.
The DMC FX-150 also has a full range of manual controls, 12 fps vs 3.7fps, and many others.
RAW format is the most important I think.
The extra $80 is worth it in my book.
Cheers

Thanks guys, I see the difference now. It's not so easy when your not an expert to know what all the talk is about. I think I'l go the FZ150 and pay the extra. Again thank you for your time.
