    Default Driftwood

I went for a late afternoon walk along the beach at Somers yesterday and got some nice shots of some of the driftwood on the shoreline.

All photo's are 7 shot HDR.

It's hard to believe just how beautiful some driftwood can turn out to be. The actions of sun, sand and surf on timber produce some extraordinary beauty.

It looks like a big petrified stag lying on its left hand side.

Don't forget the wind. Wind, sand and salt-water, a very corrosive mix. Just ask anyone with a weatherboard house within 500 metres of the ocean.

Thanks also for the kind words .
