    Default Eastern Spinebill

After a couple of weeks of chasing these little fellows all over the place.
I finally got one to sit still!.

Until I moved down here I'd never seen an Eastern Spinebill before.
Beautiful little birds but they've been very hard to get a good shot of.
As a rule the first slap of the shutter sends them flying.

This little guy must be hard of hearing he just sat there!.

I still haven't got that damn elusive Firetail but the hunt goes on!.

    Cheers

Trev, your wildlife photos are fantastic, you must be a very patient man. My efforts at wildlife are very poor compared to yours and seeing your images has inspired me to lift my game.

A couple of my better attempts, taken from the bird hide at Coolart Homestead.

    Hey John
Those photos of yours are great mate.
If I've giving you some inspiration I'm really happy about that.
And as for lifting the bar your already at a pretty lofty height!.

    Cheers mate

    Nice shots Trev.
I just looked in my book, that bird also lives up this way. I have seen similar, but the ones I have seen don't seem to be quite so colourful.

    Nice shots trev.
What was the gear you used for those ?

Would be great if everyone posting in the photography forum could add basic shooting info and gear used if they want to.
Makes it more intresting for other photography enthusiasts.

Download and install EXIF Viewer, it works on most images uploaded directly to the forum. Does not give the manufacturer of the lens though.

The basic info is easy a Canon 70D with a Sigma 600mm.
Being fairly early in the day I'm guessing I had it rated at 400.
I'm not one much for keeping track of each shot.
In fact with all the bells and whistles on the 70D, I use it pretty much like a K1000.
    So Old School!.

    Cheers
    Trev.
