Anyone else collect photographic stuff?
Anyone else collect photographic stuff?
I collect still cameras, movie cameras, darkroom lights, images, film, plates etc, etc.
My bestest part of the collection is Daguerreotypes from the 1840's.

Not much anymore. Mostly motion picture stuff. Bolex 16mm reflex (only one I've actually used), Bach-Auricon with magnetic sound conversion and also mouse ears, an old 35mm projector - principal purpose of acquisition was Geneva wheel mechanism; various and sundry odds and ends, both 16mm and 8mm. Fire sorta went out when video and computer animation took over; and logistics and cost of film processing went off the rails.

I have a collection of antique cameras and bits and pieces.
Pride of the collection is a Thornton Pickard Triple extension complete with wooden tripod and several dark slides. Also have a Kodak Autographic.
Have a few D-types as well.
Used ot be really involved in photography and worked in the industry for some years, had my own darkroom and all that messy stuff now overtaken by digital.

I've got a heap of safe light filters from B&W to IR as well as some antique developing trays, possibly ceramic dunno what they were made of back then.
Oh, & a 504 DeVere dichroic head 'front-wheel-drive' enlarger with Nikkor lenses for formats 110 - 5" X 4" as well as all the usual darkroom gear..... & it's ALL TAKING UP SPACE!!!
My enlarger is the same as this one except the light source is a previous model.

Got a 'HIT' camera, I think it's a Homer but there were so many of them at the time, post WWII, also a benedetto (sp) 127 camera and still got my old Olympus Pen EE2 fully automatic 1/2 frame 35mm.
Used to have a Goblin enlarger (Ilford I think), was the first one I had before moving up to Durst and a Czechezlovakian brand.
More recently I sold my Horseman 8x10, 2 Mamiya 330 F's and a heap of lenses and other accessories, still got my Pentax MX somewhere and a Minolta 35mm underwater camera, funny little yellow thing that never gets used anymore.
Bloody digital.....................love it though.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.
