New Hobby
A few months back I decided to have a break from working with wood and decided to to look around for a new hobby. I did a short, free online photography course run by RMIT and I was hooked. Until recently I did not realise that this part of the forum existed. I thought I would post a few of my efforts. All comments and advice appreciated.
Cheers Frank.

Very nice work indeed Frank, but after your high standard in the woodwork, one wouldn't expect any less,
WELL DONE SIR. Cheers, Peter
PS - I especially like the Raven & Kite photos.....

That camera has good reviews Frank,
BUT I suspect you'll be looking for more lens & maybe other bodies soon, as taking that prefect well framed sharp & clear shot is addictive.....
Enjoy the new hobby sir and THANK YOU for sharing the efforts with us, much appreciated, Cheers, Peter

Great shots there Frank and good job of post processing, the photo's look very natural. Love the shot of the pelican. Would it be possible to post the link to the online course, thanks.

Nice Pics Frank. I agree it's easy to get hooked with it especially these days with such good gear available for reasonable prices.

Very nice work, not easy to take birds in flight
seems you're hooked
now a word of warning - the glass is the most important part of the camera - unfortunately it is also the most expensive. Lenses are dearer than chisels ...regards

You have some nice shots there Frank,I do a fair bit of bird photography and know its difficult to get close enough especially with a short lens.
I use 800mm on full frame but even that is sometimes nowhere near enough.

Thanks for your kind comments guys much appreciated. Grumpy I will post a link to the course tomorrow. The courses run for four weeks and are run every five weeks. I say courses because there are quite a number offered on a wide range of subjects. They are tasters for people thinking of doing degrees in these subjects. I have completed four of them in different subjects.
Cheers Frank.
