Still Kickin'
Hi All...haven't been around lately. The wife has a brain tumor and we have been dealing with that since October 18th. Go to radiation treatment 5 days a week.
It's all in God's hands...Ann has a lot of people praying for her.
Had a bit of time to waste today, so I did a reprise photo of a Hollow Form that was done about 2 years ago.
Called "Ripples in the Water", it's segmented poplar for the main body, with Birdseye Maple for the top and bottom. 11 1/4 H x 6 W. The poplar portion was carved using a Dremel tool, followed by masking off the top and bottom. Flat black acrylic was shot on the poplar portion.Cheers,
Ed

Wow, absolutely stunning Ed, I love what you've done with this. Whilst all your energy and time has been spent on your wife, it's great that you've got a little you time. Nothing like a bit of shop time to clear the head and gain a little perspective. Thinking of you and your wife.

Ed, really sorry that you are not turning anymore, because this is a very beautiful vase.

Thanks, guys.
Do want you to know that it wasn't an easy decision to give up turning.
The spirit was willing, but the body wasn't ...even more so with the present priorities.
But, like the saying goes "Never Say Never", so there might be pen or pepper grinder in the future.Cheers,
Ed
