Magpies harass Little Eagle
First time I've seen a LE here in the Kiewa Valley (Vic.)
They'll hunt for small to medium birds and here we see Magpie parents probably trying to drive it off.
It did retire to a gum tree perch a couple of times and eventually I lost sight of it.
First I saw a Whistling Kite and I assumed it was its mate, but all the harassment of this one made me look more closely.
Little Eagles grow up to 1.3m wingspan.Cheers, Ern
