Bob it's a merged panorama from i think 4 shots. Taken on a Panasonic DMC-TZ7 10meg compact camera and merged with the software that came with it.
Mark we only went to the South island. Hired a motorhome and drove around for 2 weeks. Best holiday I've had. Only bad part was when checking my photos on day 11 everything before #350 was gone .
After an angry sleepness night I took my camera to a photo shop in Queenstown and found out my memory card was corrupt. The photo guy managed to salvage a lot of them but many photos and video clips were gone.

Nice work!

I remember shooting 10 rolls of 36 in the two weeks with my trust Minolta 303. Now I shot that many in an hour with my cameras.

I carry my laptop with me so I can download the pics every night, and then back up to a portable hard drive (PHD), and where possible try to not to leave the PHD where the laptop is; ie if the laptop stays locked down in the hotel, the PHD comes with me or VV. After generating a DVD s worth of images I back up to two DVDs and mail one home.

Yeah I nearly went into the same shop the day before to put the photos on a disc but thought "nah there's plenty of room left on the memory card for another 4 days, she'll be right"
I won't make that mistake again.

G'day Wheelin, have you tried looking for a download from panasonic?. Often manufacturers provide that stuff on-line.
If you can't find it on-line I'll attempt to burn a copy of the cd for you. PM me if so.
No didn't go south of Christchurch. Went north from airport around top, down west side to Doubtful Sound then up to Mt Cook and back across to Christchurch.
