    Default The Back Paddock

I was out and about in the back paddock today with the trusty Nikon D50.

This the next door neighbour's horse Mojo. I love the shot except for the bloody pink bucket.

The a small waterfall in the creek. Hand held at 1/10 of a second. Need a tripod.

Daisy Mae. Just a great cow. She runs over when she sees you. Happy to have a scratch.

maybe you could photo shop it out ?

very nice effort especially for being hand held. I think it looks really good, but I also think it would be worth it to retake it with a tripod and a slower shutter speed.

Romsey...thats kinda in the Macedon area ? ...looks like very nice countryside down there...We are thinking about selling up and moving to that area one day...though probably looking at something more around Woodend.

    cheers

I'm just a bit lazy to clone the bucket out as it would take forever as the whiskers are in the way.

I want to get a better lens and a tripod but I'll be up for $1500 which I can't justify just yet.

Macedon Ranges it is. We love it here in Romsey. We've bought a block in Lancefield which is the next town north.

One thing about this area that you'll need to be aware of is that the temperature hasn't gotten above 10 since may. It's a nice day out with the sun shinning and it's a balmy 7.8 degrees out there.

Thats ok I like the cold . The missus is from Victoria, that why we are thinking about moving down there....so she is already part polar bear. And once she told me that it sometimes snows on Mount Macedon...I was sold ....I love the snow even if I cant ski on it .

I have only been down that way a couple of times for some short trips (when visiting outlaws in Melbourne) but from what I have seen so far the area seems exaclty like where I would love to live. I love the pic in your other thread of the horses with the hills in the back ground.

    cheers

Could do better if I spent some time on it.
