    Default Perspective!!!!

Recently I managed to get a shot of a street performer doing a back flip after running up a wall. As is usual with street performers you never know what they are going to do next and I was unprepared and lucky to get a clean shot, however I wasn't holding the camera straight. When I straighten the shot I lose the other performer which I think adds perspective. Just wondering which shot others prefer, the original or the edited shot.

I prefer the second, the edited shot. I don't think losing the guy on the right is a problem, although I think it would have been much better if you could have kept the onlookers above.

I prefer the first shot as it emphasizes the action which is really what the shot is about. The second shot looks more as though you photshopped the guy into the background. Great shot be proud of it as it must provide a really good memory which is after all what it is probably about

The photo was taken at Trafalgar Square during my recent holiday. I actually went back the next day hoping the guys would be there again, but no luck. If I had another chance at it I would pull back a bit on the zoom to capture the people above looking down, I'd also set the camera on burst mode to capture a series of sequential shots. I guess I've got a good reason for another O/S holiday .

A couple of minutes with the perspective tool did this. No loss of the other performer, but the crowd at the top has been cut off...

I like the first shot. Rather than detract from the shot I think the angle and inclusion of onlookers emphasises the action and the perspective. Good shot.

O.K. howdja doit. I'm a complete novice to Photoshop (I'm assuming that's what you used).

Only adjust one angle at a time. Don't try and do all angles at once. Keep the verticals vertical, and adjust the horizontals, then keep the horizontals horizontal, and adjust the verticals.

It varies depending on version, but it's something like image/transform/perspective, or edit/transform/perspective or tools/transform/perspective etc. Just search the help in whatever version you have.

I had a play with the perspective tool and this is what I came up with. The wall while level goes away and to the right but the people are still in the frame.
I am using photoshop elements 5
I personally like the first one. The fact that the frame isn't perfect adds realism to the shot.

    Using P/shop CS4 I get this.

You can always work the other guy into the action. ie Performer levers of other guy and not wall

In all seriousness I like the very first shot.
