Hey Cowboy here's an aerial of "Dave's Place" marked in red.
DJI_0014.JPG
You can kinda see the space through the trees to the left of my shed.
Off to the right is what I call the jungle, it's really thick in there and hard to move around.
Here's some ground level shots.
IMG_7133.JPG IMG_7134.JPG IMG_7135.JPG
The first photos where the clearing opens then turns to the right.
The next ones looking along "Dave's Place" running parallel to the shed.
The last shots looking down into the Jungle.
It's a really nice spot!.
The first time I ever saw it I thought Dave would setup camp here.
Hence the name!.
Your welcome anytime mate!.
Cheers

Question on the drone if I may.
How do drones like your DJI Phantom work ? Do you fully program its flight before sending it up, or do you control it with the joysticks once it's in the air, like a little quadcopter ? Or do you do a bit of both on any single flight ?
Cheers

As you know I'm not exactly a high tech kinda guy!.
I've still got a ton of learning to do on the drone.
But it's basic flight setup is very easy.
First you set the GPS so it knows exactly where it is.
After that you can take off manually or automatically, I choose the later.
It's great you just touch a button and it lifts itself to about four feet and hovers there "Brilliant".
From there you just fly it like a remote control plane.
The best thing is because you've set the GPS at the start, if you have any trouble during the flight or are just feeling lazy you can push "Home".
The drone will return to it's original point of take off (give or take a couple of feet) and land itself.
The controls have two joysticks the left is for lift and rotation the right for direction forward and back, left to right.
The directional control takes a little getting used to.
If you turn the drone 180 degrees in the air then back becomes forwards and left is right.
But it's a very stable machine and I'm taking my time to get used to it.
And I've got to say it's a bucket load of fun!.
Cheers mate

It's been pretty overcast the last few days with a lot of misty rain.
Not ideal camera weather but there was still some brakes in clouds.

The Firetail's are great little bird's although when nesting their not really interested in hanging around to be photographed.
They have a nest up in a pine tree near the driveway.
Judging by the ruckus coming from there it shouldn't be to long before the youngsters are out and about.
Me to mate!.
