Default Ruins along the Oodnadatta Track

Here are a few photos of some of the ruins along the Ood Tk. If it hadn't been so damn hot and windy I would have stayed longer and done more exploring.

Well done John. You have a "good eye" for capturing the whole scene. I love that country out there. Mind you it has always been winter when we have been there. I always get a notion to "squat" in one of those ruins with the intention of restoring it to its original condition. BUT
In reality it would be a hard place to live.
Your photos have captured to scenes well. Do you like the light? I know with Kodachrome there was too much light that tended to blow out the colours and not record as well as your own eye. You have done well
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

The cloud formations really add to these great photos.

John have a mate who used to do outback tours and have seen some of these images before. Love that skyline in the background.

Thanks for the kind words. As far as having a "good eye" I'm not sure, but I do like taking photos from a different angle. I've lost time of he number of times people have had to step over me whilst I lay prostrate on the ground to get a different angle. These are usually the same people that think my photos are good because I've got an expensive camera .
As far as the light goes I would have preferred to been taking these photos during the first or last hour of light.

Thank you Greg, I've seen some of your photos in this forum and you've got nothing to be jealous about.
