There was no chance of getting the camera outside yesterday.
It was pretty much a constant rain from go to woe.

At one point in the afternoon I spotted a Scarlet Robin sitting on a post in the rain.
He was a bit further away than I would've hoped from the house, but I took a couple of shots anyway.

Not the best of photos but I think they summed the day up pretty well for all creatures great and small.

    Cheers

    Almost feels like it is!.

The days are really sort at the moment, by 3:30 your pretty much out of light.
There was very little around yesterday and it was one of those days where the foliage seemed to wont to be photographed more than the birds!.
But I got a couple of OK shots of an Eastern Spinebill and a nice one of a Wren who'd just snagged a caterpillar.

Last night was a clear sky without a breath a wind, so this morning should be well chilly!.

After the sun came up and the ice melted away it was a beautiful day here.
That's not to say it was warm by any means!.
There were quite a few birds around including one that by rights should've flown away by now.

The Fan-tailed Cuckoo above according to the books should've headed interstate looking for warmer weather.
Maybe his just like me and would rather just stay "weather be damned".

I'm thinking Dave should be pretty happy with the photo's of the Wren.
At this time of year I reckon this fellows about as blue as it gets.

I don't know about the Wren but I was sure close to that colour about 3 o'clock or so this morning out in the shed.
Had to beat a hasty retreat back into the house before my thumbs snapped off!.
    "Well Cold".

Cheers from in front of the wood heater!.

WOW Peter you need to get yourself tested my friend "you maybe psychic!".
Just after I posted about being nice and warm in front of the fire I dropped a lump of wood on my finger.
Luckily (Depending on how you look at it) the finger in question was the middle finger of the left hand.
I've smashed the end of it up pretty well!.

With the heater in the shed.
Tayne and I have bought the property and where at that point of waiting for settlement.
That should happen in the next two to three weeks.
So once that goes through we can make all the changes we like to the place.

As for the tootsies I've been very sensible and got a nice pair of wool lined boots.
But that's as far as it goes "Sleeves On Shirts Is Out of The Question" no matter what the weather.
I mean to say you have to have some standards!.

Anyway here's a few shots I got yesterday before the dreaded finger flatting incident.

    IMG_3880.jpg IMG_3893.jpg IMG_3897.jpg

We'll see how it goes over the next few days.
I'm not to sure how well I'll be able to hold the 600 lens with the Boo Boo on my finger!.

    Cheers

Great news on the house purchase. You will certainly be able to call yourself one of them once the settlement has happened. There's no coming back now (but why would you).
Is that spring in the air in the 5th photo?
