Oh we had every idea what they were going to cost (we read the menu before sitting down). The coffees actually only cost 11.40 each the rest was for the cover charge for the orchestra.

Next time travel across the Nullabor and come to Wallan where the two cappuccinos can be purchased for $40.00 and you don't have to put up with any annoying music.

By the way, really enjoyed your photos - keep 'em coming.

Nice Bob, particularly like the 83 pic in the second set.

Took the camera into the repairers for a butchers and the verdict (consistent with some web investigations) was the iris diapgham was wearing/sticky - fix cost was $230 (). They could have cleaned it for a little less but there's no guarantee it won't play up again soon.

Here's a pic of the itty-bitty part. Its a bit bigger than a 50c piece.

This problem has starting to happen with a number of these lenses, especially if they get dirty and/or wet/damp. Like most cheap DSLR lenses they are not well sealed against dirt and damp and this one in particular is notorious for pump dust onto the CCD. That's another good reason for buying pro-grade lenses which don't do this.
