Saw this guy wandering across the yard at home, and I grabbed the camera as he climbed high up the tree. He'd be about 1 metre long.

They are lovely creatures, we get them up here around Newcastle.
I went camping at the Myall Lakes and every morning six or seven would wander through the campsite.
You are lucky to live in such a great place, are bushfires a problem there?Silence is golden and Duct tape is silver...

Yep. We have bush surrounding us on 3 sides, which is great for 10 months of the year. Dec / Jan can be a bit tense when the weather is very hot and the winds pick up. Haven't had a big fire near us since 2001.
We do get a lot of wildlife around us. We also had some King Parrots in the tree outside my TV room yesterday. Stunning birds.
