Emu
got lucky with this guy, i was driving thro a place about 50ks away and saw an enclosure with 1/2 a dozen emus and kangaroos in.
when i walked to the fence they thought they were in for a free feed and so this guy came right up to the fence...
Cheers Fred

thanks, yeh flash fired i was on auto and standing in the shade of a tree.
when i left there i saw a sign which said ''Hide '' so went on up a dirt road and the council in conjunction with, i think, greening Australia have built a hide from lime stone with half a dozen holes in at various level. its just a wall with each end running off at about 30 degrees and a small car park in front of it.
the hide is at a lake which was bone dry but i will go back again if we ever get enough rain to fill it.
