    Default new bladder

I've got an old footy and would like to give it to my friends 9 year old son, trouble is that it needs a new bladder and needs to be laced again. Does anyone know if anyone still fixes footies any more around Melbourne? It's a Burley Special which I think were made in W.A, and it's a beauty, worth doing up again for sure.

Try looking for sporting specialist stores that supply to club players in the yellow pages. Otherwise ask someone at the local footy club who their supplier is.

    Thanks Burnsy

Pretty obvious I just thougt in this throw away world we live in the chances weren't going to be good, I used to go around the local bootmaker to get the lace's done and forget but not sure if I ever did go to get a bladder replaced 35 years ago.

    Springwater
simply get a pair of pliers, unlace the footy, remove bladder, replace bladder, partly inflate, get some thin wire, double over to form a needle like eye, push through the lace holes and relace the footy, then inflate fully. Not hard to do just a little patience
