Yeah John, I've got Steel on Steel, The Plumber, The Live One and Short Fuse Blues. He's a great guitarist. If you like him you might get into Matt Corcoran. Especially "Angry Young Man"

I'd love to Neale, but I don't have the dexterity in the fingers. In the late nineties I bought a cheap Ibanez and a small Peavey amp after seeing Jeff Lang play at a benefit for the FTG CFA after the Ash Wednesday fires. I was all fired up, but the fingers wouldn't co-operate, sold the setup to help fund the trip to Memphis .

Funny you should say that John. I was the same when I started (lateish in life) so I taught myself to play open tuned slide guitar by playing along with cds. Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Robert Johnson and particularly Hound Dog Taylor. Now he's someone I'd love to have seen.
Play in a local blues band now playing all that stuff. Bit of a mid life crisis type thing.

Used to go and see Matt busking down at St.Kilda, I have his 240KpH CD, so called because that's how fast he plays . If you ever get a chance go and see Jeff Lang if he's ever over your way, you can catch some of his stuff on utube.

My favourite would have to be Dream Theater at Horder in 08. By far the best concert ill ever see.

Some of you have made me so jealous. My list of bands I wish i had seen:
    Zep
    Pink Floyd
    Jethro Tull
    Nirvana
    Rush
    Emerson,Lake and Palmer
    Rage Against The Machine
    Soundgarden

there is plenty more but there the main ones.

A Perfect Circle at Horden were excellent as well

I'm almost ashamed to admit it....... Willie Nelson.

We saw him at the Clark County Fair (Vancouver, Washington, USA). His show started at about 7.30 and they had to drag him off the stage at 11 when they were closing the fair for the night. He was pretty amazing and just seemed to enjoy performing.

Worst is a toss up between Bob Dylan or Ryan Adams. The Dylan concert was a double header with Bob and Van Morrison (2 shows for the price of 1). Bob was obviously stoned but Van the Man was amazing. Saw Ryan Adams at the Enmore in Sydney. That guys behaved like a pompous little &^%*# ! Basicaly told the audience to shut up and be happy that they were there to listen to him. My daughter convinced me to go to the concert saying he was constantly compared to Neil Young as a performer. He sure wasn't that calibre or performer. Decision made - worst concert Ryan Adams!

Saw Neil Young play at the entertainment centre about 3 weeks ago. He was fantastic and his rendition "Cortez the Killer" was simply amazing. He finished the show with "A Day in the Life" - a performance I'll remember for a long time.

These days I live in Shanghai and the city has dozens of great Filipino cover bands. Some are pretty talented, others OK, but it's ALL better than prerecorded stuff. Give me live music any day. "Better manned than canned".

    Cheers,
    Peter
