Golden oldies
As I have plenty of time on my hands, and can do little else that's safe, i spend
A fair bit of time on my'puter.
FRiday I was looking up some you tube stuphph and stumbled on clips of two of
the great groups of the 60s and 70s, namely The Seekers and The Mammas and Pappas.
I am still amazed by the clarity of the female voices in both groups. Judith Durham in
particular had the most amazing voice. It was ubforced, clear and there was plenty of
volume. Another voice of similar ilk was that of Julie Covington. How do two such tiny
women manae to do this.
Just glad they can!!!

That's why they were in the band, not me.
BTW, can you good folks in OZ get Sirius/XM satellite radio service?
Those groups come up in "The Coffeehouse," sometimes in "The Bridge,"
never in the 60's or 70's channels.
