I've been watching this for the last three mornings.
    Really makes my day.

Thanks for that Noel, I've always liked Stand By Me. I thought John Lennon did a brilliant version on his Rock & Roll album, but the Utube version might just top it.

    G’day cobbers,
A few here are suggesting they can’t think of an alternative singer for Matilda than Tru Blu John, who I’ve never actually minded regardless what school his parents put him through etc; but remember a chap by the name of Noel Watson (if he’s deceased, my sincere apologies. Something tells me he might be) and his knockout rendition of Banjo’s tune? It’s slower and therefore would take longer, but there ain’t a better version anywhere of our traditional hymn, and it’s available on “Ray Hadley presents Real Good Music” cd, either from 2GB or Sanity.com.au (no I don’t work for either party).

Here is where i found it

Please pass on my condolences to the family

BTW was there a Utube version before his passing

    Cheers
    regards

    David

I'm trying not to imagine you singing it in the shower, the thought's making me shudder but seriously though I'd love to hear your rendition. Get out the video Noel, ya know ya want to

So Noel as part of the agenda for next weekend (Ballarat BBQ & Turnon) - can i put you down for entertainment - maybe waltzing matilda at about 11.30 or is 5.30 more appropriate

    Cheers

PS i tried to put it up for you but havent figured out the link Youtube thingy yet.

Dj will do it and show one of your finer moments for all members to see i bet.

Editor's Note: That's why I removed the link David....Stand By Me

MY NOTE - Sorry no dressing rooms, luxury limos, cheer squads or anything like that on offer

    I like it!

That would have to be the greatest start to the day and would put you in the frame of mind to tackle anything.

Highlight the address, copy, open a new webpage window or tab, paste it into the address bar. Remove the "quotation marks" front and back, then hit enter.

    UP it pops.
