Ronald Belford "Bon" Scott, also fronted the Valentines with Vince Lovegrove which was as far removed from AC/DC as you could possibly get.

John Hiatt it is, you guys sort it out between each other who posts next.
Between and written clues make it a bit too easy, unless the references are so obscure nobody gets it. I originally wanted to place a 5-10 second sound bite, but the mods freaked .
If anyone can think of a better way to make this work, be my guest. To grow old is inevitable.... To grow up is optional

This guy, born 1968 in Indiana, is the only remaining founding member of his band, which was formed in 1985 (and still going)
His keen interest in the American Civil War shows in the band's music.Traba non folis arborem aestima

Just thinking out loud here, too young to be John Mellencamp (b. 1951, Indiana), or Axl Rose (b. 1962, Indiana).

Yeah, a combination of Google and Wiki. I always thought I would make a good research assistant . It looks like you're into thrash metal, personally I'm into blues and blues based rock, but I still like the challenge .
Here we go again.
I was born in 1953.
As of 2008 I have released 11 albums and more than 40 singles, with total sales exceeding 25 million worldwide. To grow old is inevitable.... To grow up is optional
