    Default Greatest solo ever...

    I was listening to Led Zepplin 4 last night, the solo in Stairway to Heaven is a classic, probably Jimmy Page's best. Then there is Hendrix at Woodstock, the Star Spangled Banner rewrote the boundaries of the electic guitar, Carlos Santana did it on Caravanserai. Bach did it in the 4th Brandenburg concerto 1st movement, I dont know Charlie Parker's repertoire very well but he goes melodically right to the edge, Ravi Shankar is a god, etc, etc, so many great solos.

    Which is the greatest solo ever? let me offer this as a starting point,
