Holiday time
We were about to book a trip to South America, just before the heavy rain created havoc and then the earth quake. We reckoned they could do without an extra couple to look after so we cancelled out. Will do that one next year.
In the mean time, we are going to Perth for a week, 12 to 17th August, then catch the Indian Pacific to Adelaide. Will stay in Adelaide in Adelaide 20 to 26th, then catch the train to Sydney. We will be in Sydney 28th August to 1st September. Would be nice to meet up with some forumites.

My younger sister is off to Eucador next week for 10 days work (she is a travel agent) and will be returning via Chile (Santiago). So, in fact I suspect it is a shame you had to put off your holiday, as I suspect they probably could do with some tourists visiting but I do understand your thinking. Hope you do get the chance to go next year.
Myself I am trying to find the funds to head across to NZ this winter for some skiing, or at least the mainland. Hopefully it will snow
