Default Where to find auger bit files?

I can't seem to find these anywhere. Lie-Nielsen does sell them, but only uses Airmail Express - which means the postage costs more than the file. I did email them to see if they'll offer cheaper postage, but I'd be surprised if they'd be willing to spend that much time fiddling around for a $15 purchase.

I know that Lee Valley sells them as well, but the distance would make the shipping significant. Or could I get Carbatec to order them in (since they stock Veritas, the manufacturing arm of LV, I assume they could).

Is there anywhere else I might be able to find these?
    Cheers,

    Eddie

You could wait and buy from Lie-Nielsen at the Timber and Working with Wood Show next month in Melbourne.

That's a good idea, but I don't really mean to go to the show - I've spent enough money on toys for the time being, I think . Plus entrance would cost more than postage.

I know that Nicholson manufacture suitable files, and that they have distributors in Australia, but I don't know who they might be?

Try Blackwoods, then Hare & Forbes aka Machinery House.

You may be unpleasantly surprised at the prices, and find is is still cheaper to order from o/s even with the postage costs.

Or you could mail order from L/N Oz and only enrich Australia Post.
