1/2" is about as big as I want to go with a twist or brad point drill bit. Larger than this and I prefer to use either a forstner bit, or an auger in a brace.

The Drill Doctor #750 wil sharpen 3/4" twist drill bits.

sharpening forstner bits is a whole other story- i have been trying lately and getting the inside flutes sharp is possible withe a small sharp file but the outer edge is more tricky- especially the saw tooth ones

Careful - you never sharpen the outside of the auger bit.

    Thanks everyone for the comments.
I also am looking for a bench grinder, I feel disappointed that in the US there are so many I really like but they require 110V to operate plus delivery fees are a bit high.
The primary purpose is for sharpening drill bits also I need it small, better if it has the magnifying lens and eventually the light.
In here I found the Makita 150mm wheels from Bunnings for $150 which checks all marks but maybe it's a bit big for me.
Going the cheap route option, there is one very cheap Rockwell 125mm wheel from Supercheapauto (to confirm stock) for $30, another from Bunnings, Ozito 150mm for $35.
Could you guys please advice me, the Makita 150mm is tempting but I think it's too big for my environment, I'll only sharpen no rebuild.
The cheap route also is tempting, will I be able to attach a cheap lamp and a magnifying lens to the Rockwell or Ryobi and save money?
