Cheap Good waterstone/whetstone for sharpening plane blades?
Are carbatec economy diamond whetstones ok? the cheaper the better.

IMHO you get what you pay for. I've no time to go into details at the moment.
If you search international ebay you can source DMT Duostones for a good price from the US. Go for the 10" long jobs for plane blades so you can lap the backs on them as well.Cheers, Ern

Hello,
I warmly recommend KWH Mirka papers, up to 2400 grit. They are very good sandpapers.
3M makes good spray adhesives that come off from a glass plate, too. Please note that with that, You can attach sandpaper on curved and cornered surfaces as well and still have an adhesive layer of both thin and even thickness. Very important feature for sharpening, I'd say.
