    Default Drill Doctor

Hi, i've been trying to do as much research on the drill doctor as possible, have found this post and forum extremely!!! helpful, thankyou! It seems everyone is happy with the product which is comforting. like most people here i am very tempted to buy one from the US online. I spoke with the australian agent for drill doctor which i found at Drill Doctor Australia , they brought up an interesting point which i thought would be worth mentioning on here regarding buying a tool from a US website... the model 500X and 750X come with a 3 year warranty, but if you buy one from a US website, the warranty is completely void as the warranty agents here will not touch a 110V machine, and if you try and send it back to the US for warranty, they will not touch it because it has been running on a 110 / 240V converter....
That really helped me make my decision

For anyone with the 750x, I have an interesting question.

    It says
New permanent magnet motor produces consistent power, regardless of speed or load.

    That is VERY interesting.
    That means it either
    a) Electronic brushless
    b) Brushed DC

Either way - it won't care less about frequency, just voltage.
I wonder what the volatage converter inside is? DC maybe? Transformer? Electronic.

Anyone with one out of warranty game to unscrew it and take some pics?

    Thanx
    Paul

Did you uncover any further info on this? I don't have one to take apart. I'm thinking of the smaller version but nowhere on the sites related to this product can I find the output in Watts...Hmm, guessing 200-350

I see that CARBA-TEC in Sydney have the DD360X model on "Special" at $199 (from $299). Can anyone say how this model compares in functionality with the other models mentioned in this thread ?

    regards
