Default Hand saw sharpening in Melbourne-Who?

    Hello all...

I am looking for a good saw sharpener in the Melbourne area who can re-cut
teeth on both panel and dovetail saws. I'd like to get a few old Disston saws back in shape for bench work and have had mixed (at best) results when I've attempted sharpening them at home. Any recommendations welcomed. Thanks

    Try Northern Sharpening
    32 Trade Place
    Nth Coburg (off Newlands Rd)
    9350-4262

Not sure if they do hand saws but have used them for circular saw blades and router bits and they do bandsaw blades. Usually good service times

For $11 a time I go to Sharp Edge Australia, Unit 9, 1880 Hume Highway, Campbellfield. If you are in the Northern Suburbs it might be worth your time.

They are very good, and top blokes. They sharpen just about anything, and have a good range of new cutters/blades/....

    G'day Gregoryq,

First up it might be an idea if you let us know what side of town you're in.

If you're on the eastern side the try Specialty Saws, Factory 22, 513 - 515 Maroonda Highway, (just up from Etheridge Ford) Ringwood. ph: 9870 5066

I've seen him sharpen everything else but I don't know about hand saws.
I make things, I just take a long time.
