Default Morticing Chisel Sharpening - HSS or Abrasive?

I'm looking for a Morticer bit sharpener and it seems they fall into two catergories,
HSS cutters (like carbatec- Mortise Chisel Sharpening Kit : CARBA-TEC )or Abrasive impregnated grinders (like this Diamond Cone Mortice Chisel Sharpener - Morticer Accessories - Drills & Morticers - Wood Working | Axminster Tools & Machinery)
    .
Any preferences or not much in it?

I use the diamond cones and find them good but I think it is more important to get the outside of the chisel finely honed.
I use water stones for that. You need to get them honed initially then just touch up every now and again.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

I think the bigger issue/problem is trying to sharpen the auger... well for me it is.

Lee Valley also have a pair of cones (scroll down):

I'd bet pounds to pence that the Carbatec offering is Chinese HSS, and therein would lie the problem. Apparently the Chinese have interpreted HSS to mean Highly Suspicious Shight. I wouldn't go near them (at any price).

You wouldn't think that the English language was so difficult would you? Especially when it comes to describing steel.
