Make your own - Scheppack / Tormek Planer Blade Jig
Attached is a photo of a jig to sharpen long blades such as planer blades. You can make it simply from a timber offcut. It sits over the top of the guide so can do long blades without restriction from the guide supports.
Route a 1/2 round groove in the bottom of the timber offcut to suit the guide and cut face of timber to suit blade angle. Use a length of flat bar screwed to face of block to clamp blade. In the photo a second planer blade can be seen above the flat bar - it is merely acting as a spacer to assist in clamping the blade being sharpened.
Wayne.
