dose anyone know where i can buy round sharpening stones.

as in long cylinders not flat rounds.

the ones used to sharpen reep hooks and the like.

my old one broke in half i guess i dropped it 1 to many times.

i have resoted to using wet and dry round a dowel but its no ware near as good.

Not sure which stone you mean. I bought a 300mm long scythe sharpening stone that has an oval cross section about 25mm by 12mm at Bunnings a while ago. They also had the flat round axe stones that fit the palm of your hand.

I havent seen any round rods.

I'm pretty sure it was a brand name one like Norton. It is a hard stone, looks coarse but doesn't seem to be very aggressive. I'm not the best person to judge it's merits as it's the first time I've used one and my technique leaves a bit to be desired.

I've got an old sickle that I use it on and it seems to work ok. I've also go an old brush hook that's had a bodgie grind on both edges - that's not so good. I think the proper cutting edge needs to be reground to a better shape before the stone will be useful on that.

As you might guess I have a certain amount of jungle growing up the hill at me. I've go it back to the point where I mostly these days just use zero, a whipper snipper or a machete that I either file or run over the coarse grinder.
