    Default Scheppach jigs

I "recently" bought a set of Scheppach jigs from Hare & Forbes to use on my Triton Wet grinder. The set were labeled "wood turning" jigs. But I am having a lot of difficulty working out exactly how to use them.

I am trying to create/perform a finger nail grind on a P&N supa gouge but instead of being pointy at the front it is more straight across. (ie closer to roughing gouge).

I looked closer at the jig packaging last night and found the following description.

#55 - Device for rough turning and hollow gutting tools
#25 - Jig for rough turning and hollow cutting tools

It seems both jigs, although being completely different in design do exactly the same job or is this the just the English translation as the original German which says

#55 - Vorrichting fur Rohren und Hohleisen
#25 - Vorrichtung fur Drehrohen, Schnitzhoheisen und GriBfuBe

(apologies to other German friends with the lack of German characters)

My question is does anyone know if I can use either of these jigs to get my finger nail grind.
    Regards,
    G.O.Varvey

Have you looked at the Tormek site GOV?

It may give you some clues.

The fingernail grind jig of theirs is the same as that produced by Sorby: a rod with a pivot in the middle, a collar on the lower leg and a clamp at the top.

    Hmm maybe not:

This would do it if it can both be rolled and the handle swung left and right:
