This evening the Fine Woodworking Association of WA held their monthly meeting at Carbidetools in Wangara.
Carbide tools are a family operated saw sharpening business that started a couple of decades ago.

Father (Phil) and one of the sons (also Phil) gave us a rundown of the business history and operations and then we had a tour of the various sharpening gear that handles circulars up to 5ft in diamete,r plus they do a lot of carbide tipped stuff with auto sharpeners that get as much as 15 sharpening out of TC tipped blades.

All very interesting.
I got my bandsaw mill blade questions answered by an old school saw doctor (Phil senior) and I also won the door prize of a set of router bits!!
All in all a good night.

I have bought stuff from them before and received good service and based on the friendly reception we got I will be going back.
