    Default My Sharpenings Again.

    Hi All,
    Well, I've been at it again.
    I'm TRYING to have a clean out of some of my Wood Collection, very hard thing to do.

    So today I filled a Bag of off cuts, you know 1in. - 2 - 3 - 4in. x 1in. Wood Ends.
    Bandsaw Blade is dull again.

    Took to it with the 20mm. Sandpaper Discs this time. 24 Mins. this time, mainly due to the changing of the Discs.

    Very Happy with the Result, & I think it was a better job than by the DI Steel Disc.

    Next time though, I may have to buy a couple of those Chainsaw Pink Stones for the Moto Tool, & Gullet the Blade.

    On a boat off the coast of Norway a couple of years ago I watched Richard Raffen touch up the back of the teeth

    on a bench grinder. About a 16" bandsaw , back on and cutting well in about 20mins. Forget how many TPI but we were

    using it for lathe blanks so it would have been fairly fine. I had never seen it done before.

    Yeah Phil. Have read something he wrote about that.

    So you went on the Nordic cruise? Awesome.

    I sharpen my HSS-tipped bandsaw blades in situ with a cheapish diamond disc mounted in a lekky drill. Think the disc came from C-tec. I cover the table with a rag to catch the grindings.

    My bandy is a pox re changing and adjusting blades so I'm happy to stump up for the bimetal blades. From Henry Bros in NSW.
