I have one, purchased last year on special from Timbecon. I bought it without thinking about it too much after I lost lots of tools (including my grinder with multitool linisher attachment) in last years flood in Townsville.
I am yet to set it up like my last one with two proper (Veritas) grinder rests. I have tested it free hand grinding and it's really nice to use, much more forgiving than a blue wheel on a full speed grinder.
I had forgotten (drink buying online is dangerous) that I had previously purchased a CBN wheel in 6 inch. I have since fitted that to the six inch grinder that survived the flood, and I love it. It's my go to as it is always flat. But only useful (for me)for flat grinding plane blades and chisels. I also grind curved blades ( I had made a few travishers before the flood) and the white stone wheels are great for that.
One of the wheels on the 8 inch is 40mm wide, planned on shaping it for the curved blades.
But I am still in the shed restoration stage, and a couple of things on the house are not yet done yet either, so priorities........
I think it is good, and would recommend it. Hope this helps

I've only had mine for a short while so I can't offer any long term evaluation but I like it. It does what it says on the box and as the poster above says it's a lot more forgiving than a full speed grinder although you still have to be careful not to overheat the tool if you're removing a lot of steel on the big wheel. In those situations it's better to do the heavy grinding on the smaller 60 grit wheel before moving to the bigger 120 grit one which does generate quite a lot more heat than the coarser one. Take your time and inspect your work regularly and it works just fine.
