Tormek accessories for Scheppach?
I posted something about this on another thread, but this one might reach a wider audience.
At the Hare & Forbes sale last week, I bought a Scheppach 2000 sharpener. I also wanted the wheel dressing tool and the grader stone. But H&F don't carry the dresser, and they package the grader with some jigs that I'll probably never use.
Sydney Tools advertised the dresser and grader on their website, so I tried that. 30 minutes after I placed my online order, all Scheppach products had disappeared off the site -- though the credit card payment still went through. A phone call on Friday revealed that they don't carry Scheppach stuff any more, so I'm expecting a credit refund.
Meanwhile, I'm sure I can use the Tormek grader, but I'm not sure about their dressing tool. It should be OK if the bar arrangement for the jigs is the same diameter. Does anyone know?

Many thanks, DJ. I obviously need to sharpen my searching skills as well as my chisels!

Good outcome
Thought I should report the final results. I have some very ordinary Stanley firmer chisels, which I have previously managed to "sharpen" on an oilstone. I have never before used any kind of grinder. BUT . . .
After using the Tormek dressing tool to true up the wheel on the Scheppach, I had a bash at sharpening the chisels. As it was my first try, I know I can do better, but I have to say that the chisels are sharper than anything else I've handled, ever.

I have a Tormek. I love it. There are now several sharpeners just like it on the marke for less money. Tormek still has some things that are better. I do not like the diamond dresser that comes with it. You need to use it all the time. I bought a Delta diamond dresser. I think it is about 2 inches wide. I made a jig to hold it streight. It dresses the wheel all at once and it is square to the bar holder that holds the tools.
The diamond dresser that comes with it is hard to dress the stone square. I also made another adapter to hold the end rod that holds the jigs. It has a little spring to it. I am a big person and I can move it with ease. It has been a couple of years sense I picked up the Delta stone dresser. It was around $22.50 USD then.
I have several hundred carving tools and dozens of sets of wood and lathe chisels. It sharpens everything very well except for the inside bevel on my chisels. That I need to do by hand. It does plane irons very well. I have over 80 hand planes and it took me a very long time in the evenings to get things sharp. I am not sure if I would have ever gotten it done by hand. If you have the money Tormek is the way to go. If not, Jet and Grizzly tool companies carry knock offs. I have made jigs for sharpening other things. Then again I have a nice little machine shop and can make almost anything at home. Hope this helps you. If not PM me and I will help you.

Thanks, RStocker -- but, as noted in my later post, I'm delighted with what I've achieved. The diamond dressing tool fitted the jig rest perfectly, and -- with patience -- gave excellent results. I now have sharp chisels, and the means to keep 'em that way
