Tormek with wobbly wheel
I have just purchased a Tormek T3, second hand at a garage sale. It has a jig for holding thicknesser blades but nothing else. The wheel is clogged and does not run true, it has a bump or wobble (not sure how to describe). I see that they have a diamond trueing device but that seems dear is there a cheaper way of cleaning the wheel and trueing it up? I have a Dawn dresser for a normal bench grinder??

No, fraid you need a diamond truing tool in a jig.
If the big T is too exxy, you could look at the Jet, or the Scheppach Click.
I've not tried either of those but have used other Scheppach jigs and they work fine.
Have used several Jet jigs and, er, they're cheap ;-}Cheers, Ern

Ralph, how much did the 2nd hand T7 cost you? If it's under the grand mark, you're in front, as the planer jig alone is over $300. the Diamond Truing Tool (TT-50) is around $135. So depending how much you forked out originally, you're in front of us that paid retail.
Also check the drive wheel for damage
