Make sure you post up some picks mate!
Every good idea starts with a bit of trial and error. You just have to test it and report back with the results.
I can't say I have been overly impressed with the digital angle gauges but mine have been cheep ones. I'm sure they can get much better than the ones I have used. They can pick an angle out fairly consistently but when I want to make very fine adjustments in an angle, it feels like it wants to stick and jump. But as I said before...you get what you pay for.

Have a look at Stumpy Nub's site where he modifies a Worksharp 3000. A couple of good ideas you might be able to use.
