I guess what I'm trying to say is that some have suggested that to run your machinery on 3 phase will save you money on your power bill.
I was wondering how that was possible, are the motors more effecient? does running 3 phases have some unforseen benifit?

    Thanks for your replys

Because 3 Phase has slow startup and steady speeds but fast motors hence using low current = saves power.

You can buy an 240 volts to 3 phase 415 volts inverter (converter), its about $1300 bucks, its a bit noisy but it does the job all you need is 25 amp direct from your switch board to the inverter with heavy duty wires, if you used normal socket you'll fry the wires.
