AEG quality isn't what it used to be.
Most of the nailing in a deck is the actual decking, you might be better off nailing the subfloor by hand (or hiring a framer for a day) and buying a coil nailer for the decking.

As Doken said, You'd be better off using it on the frame work. If you going to use it to nail the decking down make sure it comes with a non marking tip. (You'll get a better fixing using screws) nails tend to lift over time.

I bought a Project Air framing gun from Bunnings- less than half price of the AEG and for home use seems ok. They also come in a kit with a bradder and stapler.
If you are using treated pine you need to use galvanised nails, probably a good idea anyway if outside use. Good luck!

Good advice, but a box of 3000 x 75mm gal framing nails runs to $120.00.

If you are going to do a job it is better to pay for the right materials and do it once than save some money and need to re do the job latter. If you save time with a nail gun you will also want to know that the nails are not going to rust away being exposed to the weather.
