Aftermarket Powertool Batteries
I thought I would start a thread on aftermarket powertool batteries, their sources and peoples experience with them
I have bought batteries from
www.battery-charger.com.au
and
www.batterymall.com.au
Although not comparing apples with apples as I have bought higher ah batteries from these companies they have been better than original (as they should be with higher ah) and just as long lasting.

I haven't bought after market batteries for power tools but I have for other items and haven't had any problems with any, either from places like battery World or sellers on eBay.
I had a look at the above sites and the main makers are covered, but has anybody bought after market batteries for GMC tools? Battery performance seems to be a concern with the lower priced tools (not surprisingly) and better quality batteries may make these tools more useful.
Regards
Ken

Hi,
I just bought a new non genuine battery for my 15 year Panasonic 7.2 V drill from Battery World here in Brisbane about 9 months ago. No probs with it so far.
Cost was $50 for which you can buy a new drill. The old Panasonic was from the days when only good tools were available, and it it still one of my favourate tools cos it works well all the time.
It seems to me that aftermarket battery companies need to build a good product to compete against the "throw that whole thing away and a buy a new one" menatality.
cheers,
conwood
