Question bench grinder to fit 5/8" imperial attachment

    Hello everyone,

I've been looking for a bench grinder that has an arbor of 5/8" imperial thread so that I can attach my spindle pneumatic drum sander to it. All the common brands seem to be metric only(16mm). Not surprisingly, sales people seem to be reluctant to dismantle display grinders so I can test my attachment. Does anyone know what brands/models would be suitable and where could I buy them from?

    Thanks,

    Minimania

Haunt the 2nd hand shops or advertise for one in the local paper. I inherited an old Skil 6" bench grinder with 5/8th imperial arbor. I PM the model number later today.
    Cheers

I bought an 8" Dewalt a couple of years ago with a 5/8" Arbor from Blackwoods.

I had a similar problem a year or so back, ended up making a purpose built belt driven workhead
